WHITE SUGAR

BROWN SUGAR
Brown sugar is a sucrose sugar product with a distinctive brown color due to the presence of molasses. It is either an unrefined or partially refined soft sugar consisting of sugar crystals with some residual molasses content (natural brown sugar).

CASTOR SUGAR
Castor sugar is a sugar that is ground to a consistency between granulated and powdered sugar in coarseness while icing sugar is a sugar made by finely grinding granulated sugar until it is a very fine powder.

Icing sugar is a fine, powdered form of white sugar. Its texture is ideal for making icing and buttercreams as it dissolves quickly and easily and does not really require the application of heat

SUGAR BEANS
The Red Speckled beans commonly known as the sugar bean is a legume. It is grown for it’s seed, which is eaten as a vegetable. It has a high soluble fibre content. Soluble fibre absorbs water in the stomach forming a gel that slows down the absorption of the bean’s carbohydrates.

WHEAT FLOUR
Wheat flour is the most common flour used in baking. There are different types of wheat flour, and they’re distinguished by the amount of gluten they contain.

RICE
Rice is slim with dry, firm texture. They are best used for plain rice sides and pilafs. This type of rice is dry and fluffy when cooked and because of its low starch content, when cooked properly it’s not mushy and separates easily.

ETHANOL
Denatured alcohol — often abbreviated as “alcohol denat.” or “SD Alcohol” on ingredient lists — shows up in a lot of household products, from pharmaceuticals to paint remover. It kills germs, which is why it’s used in hand sanitizers and cleaning products, and is highly flammable, so it makes great fuel for camping stoves.
